Gisele Bündchen loves this timeless woven tote – get the look starting at $40

Listen up, handbags. If you’re a neutral shade that’ll go with nearly anything, take a step forward. Are you also all-season appropriate? Come closer. Next, will you be roomy enough to carry all my must-haves (and some stuff I totally don’t need) without being preposterously large? If not, see yourselves out. Hmm, I see there are only a few of you left. OK, final question: Are you so stiff that pulling things out of you will feel like I’m wrestling a bear? Oh, wow, only one of you remains…

OK, so purse anthropomorphism aside, there is a bag that fits all the criteria above, and perhaps not surprisingly, it’s a fave of fashion icon and supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who’s been spotted carrying the Naghedi St. Barths Medium Tote numerous times. And yes, unfortunately, this admittedly gorgeous carryall is a very splurgy $285.

While Bündchen’s bag is at the top of our wishlist for tonier times, it turns out she does have sisters (the bag, not the celeb, though she also has sisters). Many retailers sell similar styles that are much more affordable, so you don’t have to splurge to add a woven tote bag to your rotation. (Unless you want to, to which we say, treat yo’self!).
